A Holistic Approach on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy by Ayurvedic Treatment Modalities along with Traction: A Case Report

Background & Objectives- Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is individual and one of the most communal serious condition come under childhood dystrophies. The incidence DMD 1:3500 births males. It an X-linked recessive disorder that occurs due to deletion or alteration dystrophin protein, which encoded by Gene on Xp21 chromosome. As per view Ayurveda, we can consider this as chromosomal hereditary anomalies (Bheejabhagahaavyava dushti janya Adibalapravtrutta vyadhi). Main objective case report was reduce complaints patient improve quality life. Method Material- present study about management Ayurveda perspective. An 11 years old male child, has difficulty in walking, frequent falls while sitting squatting. On Ayurvedic principles, managed with palliative care (Shaman) bio-cleansing therapy (ShodhanChiktsa). Result- After treatment, there a significant improvement signs symptoms. Interpretation conclusion- Though are unable rule out disposition genes through treatment modalities such internal medicines, 5 detoxification procedures (Panchakarma) procedures, traction etc. effectively prolong deterioration life correction diet lifestyle principles.
